Headquarter

SET office building

Dating back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire with a great history and long set-palais-sterneck-logotradition, Palais Sterneck is home to SET GmbH. The majestic building with its neoclassical facade previously housed the Post Office’s Carinthian headquarters. Surrounded by scenic mountains and close to Lake Wörth, Palais Sterneck is situated right in the center of Klagenfurt, one of Austria’s most attractive cities.

This location was carefully renovated and refurbished from 2011 through 2013, taking the needs of preservation into consideration. In addition to office space on four levels totaling 5,000 sqm, large conference and meeting rooms, Palais Sterneck also has an underground car park with over 100 spaces.

Assembly and testing facility

aerial view – SET facility

Our assembly and testing facility (up to 3 MW/ 10 kV)  are located not far from our company headquarter. Here we assemble and test our products and develop them further. In addition to standard function and performance tests, we also simulate situations outside the normal operating range, such as emergency stops or overload tests. Additionally, at this location a seperate bearing, automation and E-motor test field are located.

During every system test run we record bearing temperature, torque, vibration, and electrical data relating to the power electronics. Our test labs thus give us valuable insight into the mechanical design and electrical performance of our products. They are also extremely useful in further developing the software and control systems, and validating the mathematical simulation models of our electro-mechanical differential systems.
